Life from Olympic

Inspired by Olympic National Park, WA.

One of America’s temperate rainforests lies at the farthest northwest edge of the country. Its dense vegetation and constant mist create an almost otherworldly beauty. Home to some of the planet’s oldest and largest trees, it holds entire ecosystems within each towering trunk.

Inspired by my road trip north, watching sunlight drip through the canopy during long car rides, yellow scarf in hand as I crocheted, I realized I wanted to become part of that landscape. I needed a tree-like outfit, something the sunlight itself could spill across.

Ode to the Rocky Mountains

Inspired by Rocky Mountain National Park, Co.

Born and raised in Vail, Colorado, the Rocky Mountains are my home, and the snow has always been the God I pray to. Being one of the coldest and highest locations in the USA, this high-altitude tundra holds power. This piece focuses on the layers of snow, ice, and cold beauty inspired by long winters.

Lady of Point Reyes

Inspired by Point Reyes National Park, CA.

A rugged stretch of coastline where tide pools hold entire worlds and sunsets spill across the horizon. Home to marine life and wandering beachcombers alike, it carries a quiet, windswept magic. This was the place that made this inland lady feel the ocean’s power.

Carved by Moab

Inspired by Arches National Park, UT.

Moab is located in Utah, and the entire landscape sits on 300-million-year-old salt beds. Whispers of the sea still lie in the sand and the walls of this vast desert. The inspiration from this piece came from geodes found in the area, as well as stratification that’s formed by time and rock. I’m always drawn back to this place; its power lives beyond words.
